M Kathryn Massey, AAWA
| M Kathryn Massey presents traditional fine art painted with the methods of the Dutch and Flemish Masters. Teacher, painter and writer, Mary is acknowledged for her classical still life paintings. Ms Massey works in oil and pastel creating works through chiaroscuro (light and dark),warm color harmonies and professional craftmanship. She teaches workshops on painting through active questioning and the discovery of relational aspects over rote answers, set theories, or static information. Currently, she is writing her first book on the subject. Ms Massey is a juried Signature Member of Oil Painters of America (OPA) and Audubon Artist (AA.) She is a past juried Signature Member of American Academy of Women Artists (AAWA). She holds/ held membership in other prestigious organizations including: American Artists Professional League, Portrait Society of America, Allied Artists of America and California Art Club among others.
